Weddings, Vow Renewal, Memorials, Teaching, Speaking, Counselling
Vincent is an educator, author, Bible teacher, and gifted communicator. He has over thirty-five years of experience in education, and is also an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance Ministerial Fellowship of Canada. In addition to classroom teaching, he has spoken widely in workshops and conferences across Canada on subjects related to Canada’s history and Christian roots, as well as the teaching of French. Paula and he have been married for over forty years and are blessed with four children and four grand-children.
Paula and Vincent have served the home education movement in Canada by successfully operating The Home Works, and Voyageur Publishing for many years, helping to bridge the gap in providing high quality curriculum and resources to Canadian home educators and private schools when such resources were difficult to locate. Vincent is currently working on a number of new projects, as well as revising some previously begun or published.
As an ordained Minister, he also offers Christian Ministerial services and teaching. These include Marriages, Wedding Vow Renewals, Memorial Services, Dedications, Bible Studies, Teaching, and Counselling.
Vincent believes that weddings are to be characterized by the spirit of love and joy. Marriage is the union of a man and a woman who have chosen to share their joy in uniting their lives with family and friends. The couple has invited these to join them in praying for God’s blessing on their union and in thanking God for His gift of love and faithfulness to them. A wedding is a time for celebration of God’s grace in bringing us closer to Him by seeing His love portrayed in the love of a couple committing themselves to each other without reservation, as He has committed Himself to us through Jesus Christ, His Son.
Vow renewals are also celebrations of God’s faithfulness as seen over the years of a couple’s commitment and faithfulness to one another. They signify recognition of God’s grace in their lives together, and a desire to reaffirm their love for each other and reliance on God to continue to strengthen their relationship.
In counselling, Vincent focuses carefully on the clients’ description of their concerns and situation. He then asks the Holy Spirit to give insight, wisdom, and direction. He believes that Scripture and prayer are the keys to finding the root of many issues and seeks this perspective. Emotional and Psychological healing have their best and truest foundation in first finding spiritual peace and health.
Memorials are a celebration of life, and of the loved one’s passing from this age of mortality and temporality into the presence of God as we await the resurrection and restoration of all things in Christ.
Vincent is fluent in both English and French and is happy to serve and support his clients in either language.
Vincent’s formal training include a BA in History from the University of Ottawa, a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, a Masters of Ministry from St. Stephen’s University in New Brunswick, a valid Ontario Teaching Certificate, and a Christian School Teacher’s Certificate.
